This contract opportunity spans the 2026/2027 school year and offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team, focusing on providing individualized instruction and support within the SPARK program and cognitive impairment classrooms.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with elementary-age students, especially in resource and cognitive impairment programs
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with colleagues, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse learning needs

Position Details:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week
• Assigned to one elementary school
• Caseload includes 1 SPARK (resource) program and 2 cognitive impaired elementary groups
• Support from on-site supervision (Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN available)
• Contract duration for the entire 2026/2027 school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with student abilities and goals
• Track progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
