Qualifications
- - 10+ years of experience with throughput simulation software – CDraw2 or plant simulation
- - Experience translating plant layouts into simulation models using Auto Desk Design Review & AutoCAD
- - Knowledge of general assembly processes
Insight global is looking for a Material Flow Simulation Engineer in the Warren, Michigan area. The Engineer is expected to execute Material Flow Analysis and Simulation (MFS) tasks with minimal supervision from a lead while also providing guidance to less experienced team members. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of MFS.
Other Responsibilities Include- Support new vehicle programs throughout the program
- Conduct custom studies to assist new vehicle programs, execution teams, and manufacturing plants while providing guidance to others.
- Troubleshoot and debug throughput simulation models, offering training to others in the process.
- Convert simulation models between CDraw2 and Plant Simulation software.
- Combine MFS and TAS models.
- Travel to plant sites, as necessary.
- Gather and organize all necessary inputs for conducting a Material Flow simulation including internal systems, PFEP, existing Throughput Simulation model and existing Material flow simulation model and offer guidance to others in the process.
- Analyze MFS results and provide insights and suggestions for improvement.
- Document and share lessons learned to enhance team performance.
$55/hr to $60/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
