CAD​/Engineering Assistant

Position: CAD/ Engineering Assistant
The CAD/Engineering Assistant will support the CAD team in the oversight of the organization's data lifecycle. This position will be located in Warren, MI.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Collection, sending, translating, and archiving all CAD data

* Develop and maintain technical drawings and schematics using computer aided design software

* Utilization of NX CAD software and Microsoft Office applications

* Exposure to 3D modelling, free form surfacing, and morphing 3D surfacing

* Follow CAD processes and procedures as it relates to our customers

* CNC programming work in Work NC

* Build and maintain files within SMIRT

* Transferring, uploading and downloading files within Team Center

* Maintain records and prepare reports

* Provide technical support to operations and teams as needed

* Work closely alongside the CAD manager

* Additional tasks as assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

* Strong attention to detail and solid problem solving skills

* Strong communication skills across all organizational levels

* Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

Position Requirements :

* Preferred 1 yr of NX or other CAD background

* High school diploma

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel

* Knowledge of basic arithmetic

* Knowledge of engineering terminology

* Ability to comprehend and carry out oral and written instructions
