Job Title: Senior Application Engineer (ADMS)

Location:
Detroit, MI (3 days/week on site, 2 days remote.)

W2 only, no corp to corp

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Engineer with in-depth knowledge of Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the design, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of ADMS solutions for utility clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and client stakeholders to deliver mission-critical systems that enhance grid reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and integration of ADMS applications including SCADA, DMS, OMS, and DERMS modules.
• Gather and analyze client requirements and develop technical specifications for ADMS configurations.
• Perform system configuration, data modeling, and customization based on client needs.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for ADMS systems in production.
• Collaborate with product development teams to improve application features and usability.
• Develop and execute test plans and validation protocols for new deployments and upgrades.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across project phases.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and customer meetings to align on solution architecture.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and regulatory standards (e.g., NERC CIP, IEC 61970/61968).
• Support cutover and go-live activities, and provide post-deployment hypercare.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in utility or energy industry with at least 3 years in ADMS implementation/support.
• Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems, SCADA, outage management, and DER integration.
• Hands-on experience with one or more ADMS platforms
