Responsibilities
Project Engineer for Kforce client in Warren, MI.
- Create and maintain Interface Control Design (ICD) strategy and ICD templates
- Develop & maintain commodity specific documentation
- Generate and maintain global subsystem/component technical specifications templates (SSTS/CTS)
- Lead resolution of technical issues
- "Close the Loop" on learnings by updating required information (Best Practices, Specifications, Statement of Requirements, Template, etc.) and document progress in Problem Resolution Tracking System
- Work cross‑functionally within the company, coordinating multiple suppliers
- Lead/manage supplier resident engineers
- Support sourcing activities
- Generate technical solutions for current, new, and major programs
- Perform complex design analysis
- Initiate documents to provide engineering authority and to maintain math/CAD data
- Work with engineering functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and to support build programs
- Validate your module
- 2+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of microcontroller architectures, memory technologies, and programming
- Understanding of hardware design and failure modes in electronic modules
- Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software/hardware requirements
- Knowledge of software verification/validation processes
- Knowledge of testing and associated tools
- Capability to translate text-based functional requirements into software algorithms and models
- High level of analytical ability for unusual and difficult problems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. Pay may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
