Position: Process Engineer
Location: Warren, MI
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay Rate: $80,000 - $100,000 Base Salary

About the Role:
Our partner client is currently seeking an Engineering professional to join their award-winning leadership team. The individual in this role will be responsible for analyzing, improving, and adjusting the molding machine processes to maximize cost, quality, and throughput of molding operations, by establishing process control guidelines.
Our client provides world-class engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins across multiple industries. They engineer innovative ideas for today's complex design and manufacturing issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead process development and validation for all new plastic injection molds using Scientific Injection Molding techniques
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to establish stable, repeatable, and capable manufacturing processes.
  • Perform start-up, shutdown, and changeovers of injection molding machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Conduct mold setups and pull-outs as required by production or sampling schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing processes to maintain part quality and reduce scrap.
  • Lead initiatives to improve cycle time, cavitation efficiency, scrap reduction, and processing consistency.
  • Provide training and support to Mold Setters, Operators, and Engineering staff on molding processes.
  • Provide technical support for new tooling qualifications, validations, and customer trials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred - will consider relevant experience in lieu of Degree
  • 7+ years of plastic injection molding experience
  • 5+ years of processing experience
  • Automotive Plastics experience preferred
  • Understanding of Scientific Molding
