5G System Developer

5G req, customer wants engineers with good exp in C/C++ (C++ preferred) + Linux (Yocto) + Qualcomm controller.

Engineer has to do lots of source code reading and moderate code writing, and of course, in-vehicle algorithm tests. Algorithm would be designed by GM, engineer has to develop it using C++ on Linux. Cellular know how is required, even if candidate doesn’t have hands on exp.

You can look for MS and BS instead of Ph.D, look for 5+ yrs of exp with good hands-on exp

Implement uplink and downlink outage detection algorithms on vehicle cellular communication modules.

Design and develop advanced 5G link diagnostics mechanisms using inputs across multiple layers of the 5G communication stack.

• Detect 5G link issues
• Classify root causes across the end-to-end communication chain
• Identify, expose, and utilize low level cellular metrics by modifying cellular module source code.
• Produce clear diagnostic reports explaining issue causes

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python
• Deep understanding of:
• TCP/IP networking
• Experience working with:
• Linux based (Yocoto) embedded environments
• Ability to analyze and modify low level source code
• Knowledge of Wi Fi systems and device connectivity behavior
• Strong debugging, testing, and validation skills
