Job Title: Cimplicity Engineer
Location: Warren, MI (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Month Contract (Potential Extension)
We are seeking an experienced Cimplicity Engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of industrial automation and plant floor monitoring solutions in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SCADA systems, PLC communications, software deployment, and troubleshooting large-scale production systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, deploy, and support Cimplicity-based plant floor monitoring and control applications.
Configure and maintain PLC communications using industrial protocols such as OPC UA and OPC DA.
Integrate software solutions with existing manufacturing and enterprise systems.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, system, and performance issues.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment specifications, and user guides.
Support software quality initiatives, including testing, debugging, and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience delivering software solutions in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Hands-on experience with GE Cimplicity SCADA systems.
Strong knowledge of PLC communications, OPC UA/DA protocols, and industrial automation systems.
Experience with SQL Server and database development/support.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software deployment skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Experience supporting large-scale manufacturing or shop-floor systems.
Knowledge of software architecture, system integration, and production support.
Familiarity with automated testing and software quality best practices.
