Our client, an automotive engineering organization is seeking a Design Release Engineer – Interior Hard Trim & Overhead Systems to join their team. As a Design Release Engineer, you will be part of the Interior Engineering Department supporting Hard Trim, Overhead Systems, and cross‑functional vehicle integration teams. The ideal candidate will have proactive problem‑solving, systems thinking, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range$51.05/hr.
- $58.34/hr.
- Develop and integrate interior hard trim and overhead system components throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
- Define requirements and ensure alignment with ergonomic, safety, packaging, and studio intent.
- Execute design, testing, and validation for injection‑molded and compression‑molded interior components.
- Lead cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, design, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and suppliers.
- Drive structured problem‑solving for trim fit/finish, dimensional issues, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
- 3+ years of experience developing technical solutions for injection‑molded or compression‑molded interior components.
- Experience with NX CAD, 3D/2D math, interfaces for hard trim, overhead, and pillars.
- Knowledge of release & change control (TKO/eBOM, part/drawing release, effectivity, configuration).
- Strong GD&T, DFMEA/PFMEA, and structured problem‑solving for dimensional and feasibility issues.
