Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing company, is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team. As a Mechanical Technician 2, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting engineering and product development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Warren, MI
Pay Range: $25 - 29/hr
What's the Job?- Modify, test, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment under the direction of engineering staff.
- Prepare parts sketches, work orders, and purchase requests for outside contractors.
- Review blueprints, specifications, and project instructions to support fabrication, assembly, and testing activities.
- Create and evaluate engineering drawings and coordinate design corrections when needed.
- Support engineering teams with product development, redesign efforts, and manufacturing processes.
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
- 2-4 years of Mechanical Technician or related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with engineering software, computer applications, and basic engineering calculations.
