* Job Description:

** The Financial Systems Controller serves as a critical liaison between Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT, with primary responsibility for aftermarket financial analysis and support of controlling and accounting processes. This role emphasizes inventory accounting, cost accuracy, and end-to-end warehouse and distribution flows.

This position plays a key leadership role in system initiatives, including serving as the finance lead for warehouse management system (WMS) implementations. The role ensures alignment with financial controls, data integrity, and reporting requirements, while also providing operational controlling support to a supply chain and parts distribution organization to drive financial transparency and performance insights.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations stakeholders to align system capabilities with business strategies and accounting requirements, with a focus on inventory and distribution processes
* Serve as the finance lead on WMS implementations and enhancements, ensuring proper design and integration of inventory valuation, transaction flows, and financial postings
* Analyze financial systems and operational processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement across inventory, warehousing, and order fulfillment
* Gather, document, and translate business and accounting requirements into functional specifications to support system configuration and development
* Ensure financial data integrity across systems (including ERP platforms), with a focus on inventory movements, costing, reconciliations, and financial reporting
* Support the design and validation of end-to-end processes, including procurement, receiving, inventory management, production, and distribution
* Perform cost-benefit and ROI analyses to support system investments and process improvement initiatives impacting finance and operations
* Lead and support testing activities (unit, integration, and UAT), ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with business requirements
* Provide ongoing functional support and issue resolution for financial systems, particularly related to inventory accounting, system postings, and reporting discrepancies
* Act as a liaison between Finance and IT to ensure technical solutions meet financial reporting, controls, and compliance requirements
* Deliver operational controlling support for supply chain and parts distribution, including analysis of inventory performance, cost drivers, and process efficiency
* Support multiple concurrent initiatives, with an emphasis on ERP and WMS-related projects
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or other advanced certifications preferred
* 5–7 years of experience in financial systems, business analysis, or finance roles supporting supply chain and operations
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting
* Experience supporting or leading ERP and/or WMS implementations within a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment
* Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms), including finance and supply chain modules, is preferred
* Proven ability to translate financial and operational requirements into effective system solutions and align cross-functional stakeholders
* Experience with financial data validation, reconciliations, and internal control processes within system-driven environments
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and data structures
* Demonstrated project management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage both finance and technical audiences
