Salary: $80,017.63 per year

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The City of Novi (population 60,000+) is looking for a skilled Building Inspector to join our professional team that keeps our community safe, efficient, and thriving.

Perform specialized inspection work involving building construction and renovation to ensure compliance with standards, ordinances, codes, rules, and regulations. Prepare correspondence, records, and reports. Perform related work as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 10 years of field experience.
• Must qualify within 30 days as a Building Inspector with the State of Michigan under Act 407.

• Proven track record of establishing and continuing effective working relationships with co‑workers and the public.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently and effectively provide a high level of service in accordance with the Novi Guest Service Guarantee Policy.

• Predictable schedule:
  Monday‑Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., no weekends or on‑call nights.
