The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Community Development Inspector. This position will prepare and review plans and specifications, perform skilled inspection of residential, commercial, and/or industrial demolition, acquisition, rehabilitation or new construction projects undertaken by the City’s Community Development Program, its sub-recipients and contractors to assure compliance with the City’s Ordinances, the Community Development Program’s regulations, and quality workmanship.
Assist in carrying out Community Development Program policies and procedures.
- Graduation from a standard high school or G.E.D.
- Diploma or official, sealed transcripts REQUIRED with application
- Four (4) years of experience in building construction work.
- Must possess and maintain a Residential Builder’s License through the State of Michigan.
- Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan. Driving record must meet city standards for insurability.
Pay rate: $74,719/year – $84,228/year (After 5 years)
