Reports To: Program Manager

Overview

Job Summary: Key responsibilities include training and supervising intake staff, monitoring the quality of intake assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational policies. The supervisor also plays a crucial role in data collection and reporting, identifying trends to enhance service delivery, and participating in program development initiatives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of intake specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Oversee the intake process, ensuring timely and thorough assessments for individuals seeking services.
  • Ensure that intake specialists conduct comprehensive screenings and interviews to gather relevant client information.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies during the intake process.
  • Review and evaluate intake assessments for accuracy and completeness, providing feedback for improvement.
  • Work closely with clinical teams to ensure appropriate referrals and service connections for clients.
  • Participate in case reviews and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss client needs and treatment options.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data related to intake processes, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new intake staff, focusing on best practices and clinical knowledge.
  • Stay updated on developments in behavioral health to provide relevant training and resources.
  • Ensure clients receive a warm and welcoming experience during the intake process.
  • Advocate for clients  needs and help navigate barriers to accessing services.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of protocols and programs to improve service delivery.
  • Engage in community outreach to raise awareness of available behavioral health services.
  • Address any immediate client crises or urgent needs that arise during the intake process.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff in handling challenging situations effectively.
  • Manage scheduling and workflow for the intake team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Participate in strategic planning and program evaluation efforts to enhance overall service quality.
  • This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a compassionate and effective intake process in the behavioral health field.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
  • State Licensure- LMSW, LPC
  • Valid Michigan Driver’s License, appropriate insurance and use of own vehicle.
Working Conditions
  • Job responsibilities will be performed within an office environment.
  • To perform this job successfully an individual must have the ability to work in a sitting position at a computer for up to 8 hours per day. Physical requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, communicate verbally and in writing, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
