Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a School Psychologist in the greater Detroit area, working with high school-aged learners across four closely located campuses. Your expertise will serve a varied caseload of roughly 120 special education students, which includes a unique opportunity to provide services within a juvenile justice facility, broadening both your skill set and impact.

This position begins ASAP and continues through June 18, 2027. Enjoy moderate, steady hours from 9:00am – 2:30pm, totaling 27.5 hours per week, structured to offer a balanced and manageable schedule. As an itinerant provider, your week will include visits to all four campuses, each within 10 minutes of the others.

Qualifications:

• Current licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience working with high school students, preferably within a special education setting.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying school environments, including secure or juvenile justice facilities.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to supporting academic and behavioral success for diverse student populations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct student assessments and evaluations.
• Provide direct and consultative services to students as part of the special education team.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and behavioral support.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and legal guidelines.
