As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you
¿ ll perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your work directly supports physicians and contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

What You Will Do- Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
- Take medical histories and measure/record vital signs accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, assisting physicians as needed.
- Demonstrate clinical competence in performing a wide variety of ambulatory patient care tasks.
- Utilize basic computer skills to manage patient records and support administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum).
OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years.
OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. - Current BLS-C certificate.
- Successful completion of HFMG pharmacology class and test.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
