Human Resources Generalist

Our firm has been engaged by a growing home renovation company in Oakland County to assist is finding an HR Generalist to join their team. Candidates should have a solid background in payroll administration, recruiting and general human resources responsibilities. This is a fully in office position that reports directly to the Director of Finance & HR. The company culture is excellent and the right candidate will have the opportunity to further develop their abilities in this role.

Desired base salary compensation is $70K. Our client would consider modest stretch for candidates with industry experience.

• Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain employee records, PTO tracking, and payroll reporting.
• Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating the hiring process.
• Partner with leaders to identify hiring needs and build strong candidate pipelines.
• Support employee onboarding, benefits administration, and HR documentation.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, company events, training coordination, and general HR administration.

• Experience in recruiting, human resources, payroll, or people operations.
• Knowledge of payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred).
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver a positive employee and candidate experience.
• Experience in construction or the trades is a plus but not required.
