Level 5 – salary range $78,197-$84,288
* per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.

We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused Information Technology Officer to join our Information Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on IT professional who enjoys problem solving, supporting users, and contributing to a reliable and secure technology environment across the organisation.

Reporting to the IT Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective operation of the Shire’s ICT systems. You will provide technical support and advice to staff, assist with system maintenance and performance, and contribute to a responsive and customer‑focused IT service.

• Providing Level 1 service desk support and troubleshooting IT issues.
• Supporting system administration, user access, and security requirements.
• Assisting with server, network, and hardware maintenance.
• Monitoring system performance and helping minimise disruption to users.
• Delivering user support, training, and guidance on IT systems.
• Maintaining a high level of customer service across the organization.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Experience in an IT support or operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft and iOS operating systems.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team and support users effectively.

A formal qualification in Information Technology will be highly regarded.
