Job Title

Tools and Automation Engineer

Duration: 6 to 12 months

Rate: $70 to $75 per hour

• Install, configure, and maintain management platform hardware and software.
• Manage and administer enterprise operating systems such as Windows Server and Linux distributions, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and user access management.
• Utilize enterprise monitoring and management tools to proactively track network performance, server health, and bandwidth usage, resolving bottlenecks before they impact the business.
• Act as the escalation point for complex network and server related issues, performing root cause analysis in support of Network Engineering.
• Execute routine patch management, firmware updates, and system backups. Ensure network security protocols and firewalls are strictly maintained.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for network topology, server configurations, and standard operating procedures.

• Strong understanding of network communications protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SMTP and experience in networking and its operations.
• Deep hands-on experience managing operating systems such as Windows Server, Ubuntu, or Red Hat and virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Proven experience using network monitoring platforms such as NNMi, HPNA, Zabbix, or Datadog to analyze system health and knowledge of IT management platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Blue Cat LiveNX, and Cisco Thousand Eyes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and connectivity issues efficiently.

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network or Server, or Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Power Shell, Python, or Bash for automating routine tasks.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and associated tools including Git Hub and Terraform.
