Supply Chain Operations Associate
We are hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate to support our Warren, MI team at a General Motors LLP account. This role will focus on material availability, inventory control, and supplier coordination to ensure on-time delivery and uninterrupted production.
Responsibilities- Follow up all purchased parts to guarantee shipment and on-time delivery performance.
- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers, providing direction on ship schedules and containment plans when behind schedule.
- Make decisions on timing for supplier ship schedules, including push, pull, and expedite actions based on inventory coverage at the plant.
- Track critical parts and develop/execution containment plans to eliminate manufacturing line interruptions.
- Coordinate alternative sources, spot-buy requests, and manage truck loads for material pick‑up as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, adjusting as necessary and approving inventory adjustments after investigation.
- Document and manage S and AV code exceptions and maintain alarm interval schedules.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of administrative experience; 1 year of relevant supply‑chain experience preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of MGO (GM’s MRP system), transportation management, and material flow in manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent time‑management, multi‑tasking, and self‑driven flexibility.
- Flexible work schedule and willingness to travel: not required / no travel.
$48,000 – $50,000 per year, plus annual bonus and long‑term incentive opportunities.
