Position: INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (SUPPLY PLANNER) with Security Clearance
Duties
* Analyzes supply planning policies and operational data to ensure alignment with command life cycle objectives and material readiness goals.
* Executes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to generate balanced secondary item supply recommendations.
* Conducts backorder reviews and root-cause analyses on supply plan variances to establish actionable recovery ("get well") plans.
* Formulates life cycle supply support strategies sustain weapon system operational readiness and affordability.
* Integrates demand forecasts, Organic Industrial Base (OIB) inputs, and planning assumptions with multi-functional stakeholders to validate supply plan integrity.
* Coordinates the reverse logistics pipeline and component repair schedules to synchronize depot induction priorities with field demand.
* Maintains supply related material master data and system coding configurations within ERP systems to ensure planning accuracy and data integrity.
* Develops supply chain risk-mitigation scenarios to resolve conflicting program requirements and maintain uninterrupted material support.
* Leads supply plan reviews and working-level commodity briefings to communicate supply health metrics and risk factors to leadership.
* Establishes local standard operating procedures and technical guidance to resolve non-standard inventory anomalies and guide junior supply specialists. Requirements Conditions of employment

Experience:

To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as:(1) Executing Material Requirements Planning in support of executing timely supply actions to ensure the lifecycle health of secondary Items; (2) Executing inventory reconciliation analysis to optimize stock levels; (3) Analyzing supply chain availability data to brief stakeholders on operational readiness of supported platforms.

Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
