The Liaison (Property Manager) is responsible for promoting the belief in the cooperative principles and assisting in creating a strong community that adheres to CSI Support policies and federal, state, and local laws. This is accomplished by providing continuous education to empower all resident-members to participate in the management of their cooperative while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Additionally, Liaison supports the volunteers in the day-to-day management of the co-op, acts in the best interest of the cooperative, and represents the corporation in a positive manner and promotes the mutual policy of respect between members.
This role will serve the downriver locations including:
Ecorse, Riverview, Southgate, Wyandotte, Trenton.

- Manage the daily operations of the properties
- Maintain and store documentation effectively
- Oversee onsite paid staff and contractors
- Complete annual budgets and monitor monthly finances
- Ensure high-quality customer service and maintain positive resident-member relationships by providing timely information to resident-members and effectively addressing their questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Promote volunteer engagement and provide ongoing support within our unique cooperative management system.
- General oversight and education of co-op volunteers
- Review waitlist with leasing chairs to ensure full occupancy
- Review vendor invoices for payment approval
Conduct and oversee general inspections - Write monthly co-op report about overall operations of the assigned co-ops
- Non-payment notices and follow-up
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The Liaison may be responsible for supervising onsite personnel at co-op locations, including monitoring daily work activities and hours worked.
Requirements- Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequent travel to the local co-ops apartment buildings they are serving
Liaisons generally work in an office environment and in the local co-op apartment buildings they are serving.
This position requires sitting at a desk for extended periods of time and a significant amount of time on the phone.
Required education and experience- Bachelor’s degree required or relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or with a team and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Diligence for quality work
- Respect, passion, and commitment for working with seniors
