Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall operational leadership for assigned outsourced outpatient CDI engagements (supplemental and total outsource).
  • Partner with Consulting Services to support revenue goals and client satisfaction.
  • Serve as a primary escalation point for performance, quality and vendor‑related issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contracted vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure outpatient CDI operations meet or exceed quality, productivity and turnaround time targets.
  • Continuously monitor operational metrics, trends and KPIs; identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans for performance gaps or compliance concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to ICD‑10‑CM/CPT guidelines, APC methodologies and regulatory requirements.
  • Directly lead and supervise assigned outpatient CDI staff.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, training and performance feedback to support professional growth.
  • Allocate work assignments, monitor progress toward objectives and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Manage employee‑related processes including compensation input, performance reviews and policy enforcement.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, security standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Address policy violations promptly and consistently.
  • Promote a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university with (7) seven years of experience in outpatient CDI management in a private, public, government or military environment OR High School Diploma/GED AND (12) twelve years of experience in outpatient CDI management experience in a private, public, government or military environment.
  • RHIA or CCS certification.
  • CCDS‑O, CRC or RAC certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of outpatient CDI experience.
  • ICD‑10‑CM/CPT and APC methodologies experience.
  • Clinical documentation improvement and revenue cycle workflows experience.
  • Quality‑of‑care measures (e.g., outpatient – HEDIS, OQR) experience.
Location & Travel

Work Location:

Remote-United States. Travel:
Up to 50% [domestic/international]. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation

Expected compensation range: $125,600 - $172,700. This range includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.

Onboarding

Requirement:
To improve the onboarding experience, you will have an opportunity to meet with your manager and other new employees as part of the Solventum new employee orientation. As a result, new employees hired for this position will be required to travel to a designated company location for on‑site onboarding during their initial days of employment. Travel arrangements and related expenses will be coordinated and paid for by the company in accordance with its travel policy.
