Warehouse and Packaging Supervisor

Ada Valley Meat Company Inc., is a respected, family-owned meat processing company based in West Michigan. We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Packaging Supervisor in the Grand Rapids Metropolitan area to oversee inventory management, shipping and receiving, as well as our packaging line.

• Lead by example in prioritizing a safety-first workplace.
• Ensure departments operate within USDA compliance and SQF standards through food safe practices and techniques.
• Maintain and continuously improve current processes, and build/implement new processes where necessary.
• Oversee the maintaining of accurate inventory through regular and robust verifications.
• Coordinate with other Production Supervisors on the scheduling requirements for items to be packaged and shipped on-time.
• Communicate with external shipping parties to ensure a smooth logistical operation in both incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Collect relevant production and warehouse data, and report analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Maintain staffing in the Warehouse and Packaging departments through recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training.
• Provide timely coaching, constructive feedback, and discipline to employees.
• Prepare and perform employee performance evaluations.
• Capable of working in cooler and freezer environments for extended periods of time.
• All other duties as assigned.

• 5+ years of experience in supervisor or management role
• 5+ years of general Warehouse experience
• 5+ years of certified Hilo experience
• Associates degree or equivalent in Business Management preferred

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and written/oral communication skills.
• Proven leadership, team-building, and coaching skills
• High level of integrity and professionalism

• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
• 2+ years of experience with ERP and employee management software.
