Responsibilities
- Operate and/or program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect precision parts.
- Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts, First Piece layout, in-process, and final inspection.
- Perform dimensional, visual, and mechanical inspections using standard documentation and procedures.
- Perform receiving inspection on incoming products.
- Ensure that all parts being inspected meet customer criteria for an acceptable part.
- Inspect parts for nonconformance and follow the non-conforming product procedure.
- Use various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and CAD models to perform accurate measurements.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Quality experience in aerospace or general manufacturing environment with knowledge of ISO 9001/AS 9100 is a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of geometric tolerancing, gages, micrometers, borescopes, and other measuring tools.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform calculations for dimensional measurements.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills with the ability to troubleshoot measurement issues.
