CNC VTL Machinist

We have an outstanding career opportunity for aCNC VTL Machinist to join a leading Company located in the Warren, MI surrounding area.

Job Responsibilities:

+  Operate CNC Vertical Lathe (VTL) machines - will also consider Horizontal Lathe experience

+  Run multiple machines as part of manufacturing cells when feasible

+  Machine hard metals  including  Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel

+  Read and interpret operation sheets, symbols, and CNC programs

+  Use Fanuc controls and perform offsets as required

+  Load parts onto fixtures and operate hoists for machine loading

+  Utilize right-angle heads as needed

+  Work within tight tolerances (- thousandths)

+  Apply GD&T principles

+  Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, swing gauges)

+  Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Basic Hiring Criteria:

+  5+ years  CNC  machining experience in a manufacturing environment (Aerospace preferred)

+  Experience supporting major aerospace OEMs such as Pratt & Whitney, GE,  Rolls-Royce

+  Strong math skills and  ability  to use calculators

+  Ability to read tool sheets and set up tooling

+  Ability to stand for extended periods and climb machine platforms

+  Willingness to work overtime as needed

+  Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
