Incoming Inspection Technician | Mason, MI
Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately, including identifying and recording non‑conformances.
- Initiate Material Review Board (MRB) procedures for rejected materials and participate in their disposition.
- Utilize and maintain various measuring equipment and tools, ensuring their calibration status.
- Collaborate with suppliers, quality engineers, and production personnel to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspections.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications (GD&T knowledge preferred)
- Proficiency in using various inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non‑conformances
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
- Experience with a Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
- Familiarity with various measurement tools beyond basic calipers and micrometers (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for material transactions.
