About the Role
The Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry‑level position responsible for safely performing the fundamental tasks associated with waste processing. Duties include off‑loading inbound trucks, conducting waste stream QA/QC, verifying container counts and manifest numbers, sampling containers, detecting non‑conforming material, and processing material through shredding operations, solidification pits, LDI, and other equipment. The role requires general mechanical knowledge of waste‑processing equipment, forklift operation, and handling of hoses and valves.
Responsibilities- Understand basic facility permit requirements and support all safety and compliance requirements.
- Operate equipment such as pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies and OSHA requirements.
- Safely operate mobile equipment (e.g., yard dog) within facility boundaries.
- Unload inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
- Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
- Perform waste stream QA/QC and lab analysis for receiving and shipping waste and material.
- Complete and submit all facility‑associated paperwork for regulatory and safety record‑keeping.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the facility and grounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; GED is encouraged.
- 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
- Experience using Net Suite.
- Strong judgment, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, bend, or twist for extended periods.
- Ability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay TransparencyThe pay range for the primary location is $39,200.00 – $52,100.00 USD.
