About the Role
Waste Process Technician I (WPT I) is an entry-level position responsible for safely performing foundational tasks within the waste processing facility. Duties include off‑loading inbound trucks, conducting waste stream QA/QC, verifying container counts and manifest numbers, sampling container contents, recognizing non‑conforming material, and processing materials through shredding, solidification pits, LDI, and other facility operations. The WPT I must possess a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment and operate forklifts, forklift attachments, hoses, and valves.
ShiftSchedule
1st shift: 5:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, 3rd shift: 10:30 pm – 6:30 am.
Responsibilities- Understand basic facility permit requirements and support safety and compliance activities.
- Operate equipment such as pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools in accordance with company policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
- Safely operate mobile equipment (e.g., yard dog) within facility boundaries.
- Unload inbound packages, liquid trucks, and containers.
- Process inbound material using facility and mobile equipment.
- Perform waste stream QA/QC and laboratory analysis associated with receiving and shipping waste.
- Complete and submit all facility‑associated paperwork, including receiving logs, piece counts, material verification, manifest review, and regulatory and safety record‑keeping documents.
- Maintain general cleanliness of the facility and surrounding grounds.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; GED equivalent acceptable.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to perform respirator fit test.
- Proficiency with Net Suite and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Good judgment and problem‑solving skills.
- Attention to detail and time‑management ability.
- Capability to operate forklifts, cranes, hand trucks, and other power tools.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and perform kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods.
- Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay ranges are reviewed periodically and may be modified. Salary is determined based on experience, education, geographic location, skills, and other factors.
