Position Summary

Barron Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Technician to support aerospace and defense programs through laboratory-based materials and metallurgical testing
. This role requires hands‑on experience in a regulated manufacturing environment and familiarity with aerospace quality standards.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Schedule could change depending on business needs)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory inspections on metal components
  • Conduct metallurgical and materials testing
    , including:
    • Chemical analysis using spectrometers
    • Tensile testing
    • Charpy impact testing
  • Analyze and document test results in accordance with AS9100 and aerospace/defense quality requirements
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and inspection records
  • Record scrapped product
  • Support corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure product compliance
  • Ensure mission-critical components meet customer, regulatory, and internal specifications

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands‑on laboratory or materials testing experience in manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in precision casting, investment casting, metal casting, or precision machining
  • Associate degree or higher in engineering, lab technology, or related technical field
  • AS9100 training or experience
  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing background
