Position Title
SENIOR PRODUCTION MANAGER
LocationWarren, MA facility—home to the legacies of Warren Pumps and Portland Valve; we design and manufacture high‑performance fluid control systems that protect those operating in the harshest environments, such as submarines deep below the surface and ships safeguarding freedom at sea.
Responsibilities- Direct and manage daily manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate and lead plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Create daily production schedules and determine manpower needs required to meet production throughput demands.
- Establish and monitor measurements for assigned areas: plant performance for quality, delivery and cost.
- Use Lean Manufacturing and associated tools to improve plant performance.
- Provide leadership and training on CIRCOR Operating System (COS) tools.
- Support the Manufacturing Excellence / Lean Conversion Roadmap, revolutionizing the shop floor and creating an Operator‑Led Process Control.
- Provide leadership for the day‑to‑day operation of the facility’s Machine Shop, Welders, and Assemblers.
- Coordinate the hiring and training of operations personnel.
- Remove production constraints, allocate human and equipment resources, and direct production employees to attain all established goals.
- Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve throughput and safety.
- Support research and development and product management as necessary.
- Work closely with quality personnel to review product consistency, monitor scrap rates, and determine trends and areas of improvement for safety rules and policies.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and advanced coaching skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering principles.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
- Strong ability to be adaptable and flexible.
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Operations or another related field with 5 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- MBA preferred.
- 3+ years progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) to analyze data and trends.
- Use of continuous improvement / Lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5‑S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
