Nypro Mold is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our high-performance tooling team. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs used in the manufacturing of precision molds and components. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work that meets tight tolerances and production deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers using CAM software.
- Interpret blueprints and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
- Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design personnel to ensure part requirements are met.
- Continuously improve cycle times and machining processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
- 2+ years of CNC programming experience in a mold-making or precision machining environment.
- Strong understanding of G-code, tooling selection, and machining strategies.
- Experience with high-speed machining and tight tolerance work preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Knowledge and experience machine various tool steels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines.
- Experience using Mastercam.
- Familiarity with mold manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with ERP systems and production tracking.
$24-$34 based on experience. The hourly pay range for this role is $23.89 - $43.03.
