Job Responsibilities- Organize and stock material supplies for production lines and maintain inventory control in a JIT environment.
- Deliver material to production lines, ensuring 100% first‑in, first‑out (FIFO) and accurate receipt against packing lists.
- Perform shift pre‑inspections of material handling equipment, maintain forklift certification and attend update training as required.
- Conduct cycle counts, record material movement in the ERP system, update receiving logs and handle shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Clean and maintain general storage areas, remove cardboard, and support plant‑wide housekeeping goals.
- Report maintenance issues, discrepancies, or damaged material immediately to supervisors.
- Assist with service and other duties as required by operational needs.
- Maintain safety by observing all safety policies, wearing personal protective equipment and following OSHA regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certified within 8 weeks of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Self‑motivated with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of hand tools and basic MS Office/computer skills.
- Experience with tugger (Hilo or Stand‑up) essential.
- ISO/TS16949, 18001 Awareness, Emergency Evacuation, Lockout/Tagout, Bailer Training, Bond Cell Training, Fork Lift Training.
- Safety signage, Hazardous Communication, Personal Protective Equipment, Confined Space, Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Ergonomics, Pedestrian Safety, Employee Charter, Interpersonal Communication.
- Stand or walk for 6–8 hours per shift.
- Lift, push or pull up to 35 pounds.
- Mobility required to move within a manufacturing environment.
- Conduct Hi‑Lo and dock audit inspections at shift start, performing 5S duties and updating 5S boards at shift end.
- Validate all inbound material against pack slips, report discrepancies immediately, and ensure accurate inventory entry.
- Maintain adequate material levels on the line, replenish at shift end, and support FIFO practices.
- Maintain bailer area, manage mixed skid break‑down, and uphold safety policies such as no cell phone use and punctual time‑clocking.
- Support production between shifts with additional tasks as assigned by the materials department.
- Adhere to all company policies and understand disciplinary consequences for non‑compliance.
