** Mixing Operator I
**** Michigan Center, MI
**** Position: 2nd Shift
* Must be available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd)*****$21.92 per hour + $0.75 shift differential****(3 year pay progression: after year 1: $1.00 increase, after year 2: $2.00 increase, after year 3: $2.00 increase)
** The Mixing Operator I is responsible for safely operating production equipment, following established manufacturing procedures, and producing high-quality products that meet H.B. Fuller standards. This position performs production activities with limited supervision while maintaining compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Operating Procedures.###
** Production Operations (70%)
*** Prepare raw materials and packaging materials by verifying labels, weights, material type, and lot/batch numbers prior to production.
* Charge raw materials into mixers according to approved process instructions and production parameters.
* Operate production mixers and related equipment following standard operating procedures.
* Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
* Collect product samples as required for quality testing.
* Package finished products according to work instructions and packaging specifications.
* Verify finished products meet H.B. Fuller quality and visual appearance standards.
* Complete all required production documentation accurately, including process data, traceability records, and batch documentation.
* Immediately notify the Production Supervisor or Production Manager of any production deviations, labeling errors, or quality concerns and assist in corrective actions.
* Ensure zero product labeling errors through careful verification before packaging and shipment.###
** Quality, Safety & Compliance (20%)
*** Perform all work in accordance with H.B. Fuller Quality Management System requirements.
* Ensure products meet established quality specifications before release.
* Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
* Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or deviations from established safety procedures immediately.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using established housekeeping standards.
* Follow all operating procedures, work instructions, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), where applicable.###
** Equipment & Continuous Improvement (10%)
*** Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of production equipment and work areas.
* Maintain required training records and complete assigned training in a timely manner.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.###
** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**###
** Education
* ** High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent required.###
** Experience
* ** Minimum of
** 2 years of experience as a Production Operator I
** or* Minimum of
** 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.**###
** Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
*** Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, production instructions, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
