Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Electronic and Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our prosthetics manufacturing team. In this function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Microprocessor Controlled Hydraulic Knee and Foot prosthetics. Your primary focus will be the manufacturing of circuit board assemblies and wire harnesses. This will entail the soldering of wires to surface mount and through hole points, as well as other tasks needed to create the circuitry.
This role demands precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering products that meet or exceed specifications.
The hours are Monday – Friday, 7:15 AM – 5:00 PM. Perhaps occasional Saturdays for about 6 hours.
Key Responsibilities- Perform soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
- Inspect and verify the quality of work performed.
- Operate soldering equipment and tools with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the rest of the assembly team to maintain efficient workflow and meet production targets.
- Assist in the assembly process by performing other electro-mechanical tasks within the department as needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Report any material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electronic assembly experience required. Comparable activities include Audio Equipment installation, Home Networking and PC building.
- Strong understanding of soldering techniques, including through-hole and surface mount, is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical drawings.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and precision.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Starting wage $18-$21/hr based on experience
