The Internal Communications team plays a key role in helping employees stay informed, connected and engaged with the business. Interns gain hands‑on experience across many aspects of communications, including content creation, employee messaging, digital signage, campaign support, editorial planning and communications strategy. This is a highly visible team where your work will be seen by employees across campus and around the organization.
You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with communicators, business partners and leaders while developing a broad communications skill set.
The intern will partner with the U.S. and Global Internal Communications teams to support the development of a more structured communications planning process that advances enterprise priorities by improving how employees understand company strategy, organizational changes and key business initiatives. The intern will help organize editorial calendars, research best practices, analyze employee feedback and engagement data, document processes and create planning tools that improve how we prioritize and coordinate communications across channels.
In addition to this project, the intern will gain hands‑on experience supporting day‑to‑day internal communications by creating evergreen digital signage templates, developing intranet articles, drafting employee communications and contributing to other initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
- Example #1 Digital Signage Content Development:
Design and create evergreen digital signage templates that can be used across campus to communicate ongoing employee information, programs and initiatives. This project includes developing visual concepts, creating graphics, collaborating with stakeholders, refining content based on feedback and preparing materials for publication across digital signage channels. - Example #2 - Internal Communications Campaign:
Support the planning and execution of an employee communications campaign tied to a business initiative, event or organizational update. Responsibilities may include drafting communications, developing messaging, creating visual assets, coordinating channel deployment and measuring engagement. - Example #3 - Intranet Content Creation:
Research, write and publish intranet articles that inform and engage employees. This work may include interviewing stakeholders, gathering information, editing content, incorporating visuals and ensuring communications align with brand and editorial standards.
