Bark River Bible Church () is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to shepherd a multi-generational congregation averaging just over 200 in weekly attendance. The Senior Pastor’s responsibilities include preaching, teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care (counseling, visitation, funerals, weddings, etc.).

Bark River Bible Church is located in Bark River, MI, a small town in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Escanaba is an easy 11-mile drive to the east on US Highway 2, where you’ll find stores such as Meijer, Walmart, Menards, and Hobby Lobby, along with several parks and other recreation opportunities. The closest major city is Green Bay, WI, about a 2-hour drive.

• Deliver biblically sound, gospel-focused sermons that challenge, equip, and encourage the local body in their walk with Christ
• Lead by example in spiritual disciplines and model Christ-like character
• Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, counseling, visitation, and prayer support
• Conduct weddings and funerals
• Develop and implement strategies for effective ministry growth, outreach, and discipleship
• Work alongside church leadership to ensure healthy church governance, unity, and effective ministry operation

• A degree from a Bible college or seminary is preferred
• Experience in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care is preferred
• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him
• A heart for discipleship, growth, and community engagement
• Sound understanding of Scripture and its doctrines
• Exceptional communication and preaching skills
• Proven leadership ability in a church or similar setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Ability to navigate and resolve conflict in a Biblical manner with grace and wisdom
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

• $75,000 (commensurate with experience), Parsonage, Health Insurance Negotiable
• Parsonage – recently renovated ranch-style home located next door to the church: 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, main-floor laundry, and a partially finished walk-out basement with an additional bedroom
