Position: Clinical Manager (RN)

Registered Nurse (RN) | Sign-on bonus of $15,000 for Full-Time

Essential Responsibilities - Clinical Manager
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs governing assigned units and services.
  • Plan, develop, and manage budgeted staffing and service delivery processes.
  • Evaluate staffing and service quality to ensure alignment with Resthaven goals.
  • Initiate and implement individualized resident care plans, including treatment, care, and rehabilitation services.
  • Administer medications and manage pain accurately and on time.
  • Provide, evaluate, and oversee nursing services as directed.
  • Observe, assess, and accurately document resident conditions, behaviors, changes, and responses.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control standards and all State/Federal regulations.
  • Assign, direct, and support clinical staff; ensure appropriate shift coverage and skill‑based assignments.
  • Evaluate staff performance and recommend coaching, retraining, or corrective action as needed.
  • Deliver resident‑centered care that upholds resident rights and person‑centered practices.
  • Foster a positive work environment that supports staff growth and job satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, resourcefulness, and composure in routine and emergent situations.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate appearance at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through proactive problem‑solving and responsiveness to resident and family needs.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education, Training, Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
  • Current, active Michigan Board of Nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN), with successful completion of the State Board of Nursing licensure examination.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two years of nursing leadership or managerial experience preferred.
  • Previous nursing experience preferred, ideally in long‑term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, or senior care.
  • Experience working with geriatric or elderly populations preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and clinical standards of care.
  • Working knowledge of State and Federal regulations for licensed nursing facilities.
  • Understanding of staffing, budgeting, and financial management principles.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining active licensure through required continuing education and professional development.
  • Participation in ongoing in‑service training and continuous learning initiatives.
Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications
  • Current, active Michigan Board of Nursing License as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands‑on nursing role requiring physical stamina and mobility.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift
  • Assist residents with mobility and activities of daily living as needed
  • Safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Operate mechanical lifts and clinical equipment safely and effectively
  • Maintain visual acuity and physical stamina necessary to deliver quality resident care
