Job Type: Full‑Time (0.9 FTE or 72 hours per period) Night Shifts;
Schedule: 6 × 12‑hour shifts (7 p.m.–7 a.m.), rotating weekends and holidays;
Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500 available to qualified applicants.

Overview

As a Cardiac RN, you will provide dedicated care to cardiac and CVA patients in our 36‑bed Cardiac Department, including post‑op CABG, pacemaker, arrhythmia, MI and PCI cases, as well as step‑down IMCU patients. This role offers a bridge to ED and ICU experience.

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Provides education to patients and families appropriate to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocates for patients’ physical and emotional well‑being.

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s degree preferred).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year.
• IMCU cross‑training within 1 year.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year.
