Overview
Field-based Upper Extremities Sales Associate – a position focused on building customer relationships, supporting the senior Sales Representative, and driving product adoption within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Partner closely with the Sales Representative(s) to learn the Upper Extremities business and contribute to territory growth.
- Collaborate on the sales call pattern: cover cases in the territory, promote products, build sets, manage inventory, and progress to converting customers to Stryker.
- Attend surgeries to ensure all products are available for surgeon use and to instruct surgeons on product use and functionality.
- Educate doctors, nurses, and staff on proper use, maintenance, and updates of Stryker products.
- Work with sales teams to contact customers, identify sales opportunities, and deliver excellent customer service.
- Identify the needs of new prospects in collaboration with the Sales Representative and develop appropriate responses.
- After extensive product training, tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on product selection, and answer questions about functionality and differentiation from competitors.
- Perform field calls for assigned accounts and territory.
- Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies to position the organization competitively.
- Collaborate with the organization to meet and exceed business targets (quotas).
- Serve as the primary backup contact for the Sales Representative(s).
- Acquire a basic understanding of regulatory compliance issues and adhere to these guidelines.
- Help resolve any issues or questions that arise in accounts.
- Partner on inventory management and building proper inventory levels and sets to meet customer needs.
- Assist in acquiring and processing Customer Purchase Orders (POs) for proper invoicing.
- Maintain training in sales skills and product knowledge.
- Market the product line based on functionality, features, and distinguishing factors.
- Stay current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
- Participate in sales meetings and professional association meetings, including outside regular business hours.
- Consistently adhere to compliance and the principles of responsibility, safeguarding privacy, acting with ethics, and following applicable laws and company policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree or Medical Certification (e.g., CST, PT, CPT, etc.) + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience.
- High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience.
- 4+ years of active duty military service.
Base salary of $65,000 plus possible commission and/or bonuses, along with standard benefits.
TravelTravel is 20% of the time.
Work FlexibilityRoles may be remote, field-based, onsite, or hybrid (combination of alternate workplace and Stryker facility) depending on the specific position and job requirements.
