Job Description
ALS, a family-owned third‑party logistics company, is seeking an Account Manager to maintain and expand relationships with existing clients and identify growth opportunities.
Start Date: January 6th.
Potential Year 1 Earnings:
- Base Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience.
- Commission: $5,000 - $9,000 +
- Bonuses: $6,000
- Earning Range: $51,000 - $60,000
Potential Year 2 Earnings:
- Base Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 depending on experience.
- Commission: $15,000 - $27,000 +
- Bonuses: $6,000
- Earning Range: $61,000 - $78,000
Your Role:
- Prospecting companies seeking enhanced logistics partner experiences.
- Qualifying ALS services that best help our customers.
- Communicating with existing ALS customer accounts and solving business‑critical operations.
- Acting as a valued service provider and the customer voice within ALS.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in day‑to‑day operations.
- Acquiring customers via high‑volume cold calling, email prospecting, social networking, referrals, and other outreach. We assist in providing leads.
- Providing quotes and negotiating rates with customers.
- Communicating thoroughly and proactively throughout the shipment process.
Requirements:
- Prior sales or account management experience, preferably in logistics or transportation.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Results‑driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in prospecting and lead generation is preferred.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and adaptability to changing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, logistics, or related field preferred.
