Job Description

We are searching for Neuroscience Sales Representative to cover the Detroit, MI territory, including Oakland, Macomb and Lapeer counties. Intra-Cellular Therapies, a Johnson & Johnson company, is expanding our CAPLYTA® commercial team to support our growing impact in psychiatry. The Neuroscience Sales Representative has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner.

The NSR understands customer needs, aligns marketing resources, and supports pull-through activities. They embody and communicate the corporate vision of delivering innovative treatments to improve the lives of individuals with neuropsychiatric, neurologic, and other disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Following compliance guidelines, drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory by calling on predominantly Primary Care HCP offices and select PC targets, in-person and virtually.
  • Develop product and disease state knowledge and educate healthcare professionals on clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety to support on-label prescribing.
  • Use assigned budgets to achieve territory objectives; tailor discussions and interactions to customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
  • Operate independently with sales proficiency to drive performance and manage budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain understanding of local market dynamics, practice structures, and key influencers; share information with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to resource allocation decisions and identify programs/resources appropriate for each customer, practice, or system.
  • Provide education to healthcare providers through programs that align with ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the District Manager to develop a local business plan and capitalize on formulary opportunities through strategic execution.
  • Work with colleagues to share best practices and achieve common objectives.
  • Maintain accurate administrative records of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, and expenses.
  • Meet or exceed NSR deliverables and develop compliant business plans based on customer needs and available resources.
  • Complete all required training within specified timelines.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • 1+ years of documented success in B2B sales; prior experience in pharmaceuticals, biologics, or medical devices is preferred.
  • Anti-psychotic or bipolar sales experience is a plus.
  • Desire and passion for improving the lives of patients and caregivers; patient-centric mindset.
  • High integrity and adherence to company compliance policies.
  • Strong self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial spirit, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving environments and virtual/telemedicine settings.
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to assess progress and identify opportunities.
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and listening skills; experience in establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work outside normal hours and potential overnight travel; some domestic travel to corporate headquarters and training may be required.
