About the Role

We are seeking an Electrician to join our team in Warren, MI (48093). The position focuses on maintenance, repair, continuous improvement, and new installations on plant equipment with limited supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment with minimal supervision using safe electrical techniques, schematics, and diagnostic instruments. Perform mechanical functions as needed.
  • Respond to requests from the maintenance supervisor or support personnel and set priorities to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Gather and maintain a complete set of required tools, including electrical meters and diagnostic devices; use diagnostic tools and schematics to identify problem areas.
  • Develop PLC skills to troubleshoot control‑related issues.
  • Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve operational uptime and equipment life, and recommend improvements to PM systems or tasks.
  • Follow designated work instructions for PM work orders, continuous improvement tasks, new installation line‑ups, and repair/refurbish assignments.
  • Update drawings and prints, suggest spare parts and replacements, run conduit/wiring, and build, label, and wire panels and boxes in a professional manner per schematics.
  • Follow all standard practices, governmental regulations, and laws related to powered equipment, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Knowledge of industrial, mechanical, and electrical codes, techniques and standards; familiarity with government regulations and safe work practices for high‑voltage circuits.
  • Strong background in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic arms, and machine troubleshooting.
  • Skilled understanding of electrical schematics and ladder diagrams.
  • Experience with meters and diagnostic instruments for low and high‑voltage AC/DC circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, specify, gather material, and complete wiring installation or repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with complex machinery, electrical circuits, and plant operating equipment.
  • Sense of urgency, self‑motivation, and strong work ethic while maintaining safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Education & Credentials
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Electrical Journeyman’s card or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to pass an electrician aptitude test.
