Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support the General Motors Global Technical Center
, a large, non‑manufacturing campus listed on the National Register of Historic Places
.

This role is ideal for an experienced electrician with a strong commercial/industrial background (preferred over residential) who is comfortable working with high‑voltage systems in a complex facilities environment.

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Work with high‑voltage systems (up to 480V), power distribution, switch gear, transformers, and UPS systems
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and prints
• Bend and install conduit; pull wire; install electrical fixtures and controls
• Perform root cause analysis and advanced electrical troubleshooting
• Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) for work orders and documentation
• Test electrical components for voltage, current, continuity, and resistance
• Support plant engineering and project teams on equipment installation and upgrades
• Coach and mentor apprentices as assigned
• Operate lifts, forklifts, and work safely at heights
• Follow all GM Global Technical Center and Aramark safety policies

• Active State of Michigan Journeyman Electrician license or Journeyman card
• Minimum 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of NEC standards and electrical safety practices
• Ability to work independently or as part of a skilled trades team
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills
• Physically capable of performing trade duties, including lifting and working at heights
• May have physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing; may also require uniforms and/or use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
