Field Services Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Field Service Engineer to join our growing field service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical or industrial maintenance background who enjoys working independently, travelling, and solving technical challenges.

In this role, you will provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical and electronic equipment at customer sites across the United States and Canada
. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.

This is an entry-level position with paid on-the-job training
, making it ideal for candidates looking to build a long-term career in field service engineering.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems in industrial environments.
• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Use diagnostic and testing equipment, including multimeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic testing tools.
• Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and soldering equipment.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate job documentation.
• Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly with customers while providing excellent service.
• Follow company safety procedures and ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.

We're looking for candidates who have:

• A construction, industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical background.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, low-voltage wiring, and electronic equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and other testing devices.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Experience using common hand tools, drills, saws, ladders, and related equipment.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, networking, and software troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position involves extensive travel throughout the United States and Canada
.

The successful candidate must:

• Be willing to travel by air and drive long distances.
• Be comfortable being away from home for multiple weeks at a time.
• US Citizens only. Hold a valid U.S. Passport

• Hold a valid Michigan Driver's Licence
  .

• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs (34 kg) regularly throughout the day.
• Comfortable working in industrial and construction environments.
• Willing to wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Obtain OSHA 40 certification (required).
