Senior Mechanical Repair Technician

Paragon Technologies, a Sun Source company, specializes in providing world‑class service, repair and re-manufacturing in the areas of electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos and mechanical components for various industries.

• Repair all major brands of gearboxes and electric motors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failures of electric motors.
• Remove and install bearings.
• Use calibers and micrometers.
• Use multimeter.
• Visually inspect gears and determine pass/fail.

• Must be able to work first shift.
• May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
• Computer skills required (word, excel, email).
• Must have experience with mechanical equipment/repairs.
• Must own basic hand tools.
• Must be well organized and high level of attention to detail.
• Must have basic understanding of mechanical prints.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Root cause analysis training a plus.
• Overhead crane training.

• Willing to travel for training outside the state of Michigan.
• Willing to travel to other Paragon branches.
• Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.). Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.

Compensation:
Hourly rate based on experience level.
