Qualifications:
  • Valid Social Work license and relevant experience in school-based settings
  • Background in conducting Individualized Educational Planning Team (IEPT) meetings, with a proven ability to assess, implement, and monitor effective strategies
  • Completion of Crisis Intervention and Prevention training, with skilled application in de-escalating emotionally or physically challenging student situations
  • Proficiency in documenting and billing services through the county Medicaid system
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to nurturing resilience and positive outcomes for diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate IEPT meetings, collaborating with educators and families to tailor supports and regularly review student progress
  • Provide direct intervention for students, utilizing crisis prevention and de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Complete assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary team approaches
  • Maintain accurate, timely records of all services, aligned with Medicaid billing requirements
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ social and emotional needs, helping to bridge connections between families, community resources, and the school
  • Develop and lead training for staff in social-emotional supports and crisis response as needed
