Warehouse Team Member II

Job Overview

The Warehouse Team Member II maintains a well‑stocked and organized warehouse and assists Route Service Managers. The role requires regular delivery of batteries.

• Load and unload batteries
• Restock batteries
• Charge, clean, date, and rewrap rotations
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed
• Collect and handle payments on account, including cash, checks, and money orders
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse
• Follow and fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager
• Perform other duties as requested

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
• Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift
• Must have a clean driver’s record and meet driver qualification requirements

Frequent independent judgment and decision making, backup driver responsibilities, operation with integrity, and a positive attitude.

• Regularly required to use hands to grasp, handle, talk, hear, stand, walk
• Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally up to 75 lbs
• Exposure to battery warehouse conditions, moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals
• Exposure to road hazards when operating or riding in a vehicle

Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
