Position: Truck Driver CDL A Solo Hourly

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Warren, MI. The position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Compensation
  • Weekly pay: $1,170 or more
  • Hourly rate: $29.25 per hour
  • Per diem: $50 per night
  • Safety bonus: $250 each quarter
  • Sign‑on bonus: awarded at 30 and 90 days
  • Paid training
  • Schedule:

    Monday – Friday, start time 4:30 am
  • Hours:

    40 per week plus additional hours as needed

Vehicle and Route Information
  • Deliver SOLO to MI & OH
  • Local home daily with some regional routes
  • Tractor type:
    Day Cab
  • Trailer type:
    Dry Van 48' and 53'
  • Ryder trains on all necessary equipment
  • Freight:
    No‑touch – Auto Parts
Requirements
  • Minimum age 21
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Hold a valid CDL with appropriate endorsements
  • Class A experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs
  • Load and unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
  • Perform other duties as assigned
