Position Summary

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services to support operations across all departments. You will manage supplier relatiosnhips, negotiate pricing and terms, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Your ability to communicate effectively and cost control.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source requested items, reduce costs, and negotiate payment terms.
  • Manage supplier’s expectations through open and consistent communication.
  • Develop new supplier sources who meet company requirements as necessary.
  • Vetting of new suppliers – Perform onsite audit(s).
  • Place orders for materials, equipment parts & MRO supplies for all departments throughout the company.
  • Manage and monitor inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to ensure correct part number revisions are ordered.
  • Ensure that ordered items are delivered on time.
  • Ensure delivery quantities and schedules satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products.
  • Reconciliation of payable discrepancies, shipping issues and other customer problems
  • Arrange emergency shipments and expedited deliveries on behalf of internal customers.
What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
